A wide range of original arts and crafts creations—both decorative and functional—will be featured this weekend in the fifth annual Art & Soul fair, in the Mills Lawn School gymnasium.
The 33rd annual Art on the Lawn took place last Saturday, Aug. 13. Around 100 vendors participated, and the event drew solid crowds most of the day, despite late-afternoon rain.
One of the things that makes the annual Art on the Lawn event stand out from other art and artisan shows is in its title — that would be the Lawn part.
Those who can embrace the idea of a high-caliber art fair in an elementary school gym will be treated this Saturday to some of the finest and most striking pieces of local and regional art.
Last Saturday’s Art & Soul art fair, in its second year, drew about 850 shoppers to the Mills Lawn gym for a diverse range of handmade items.

Yellow Springs holiday shopping season begins in earnest this weekend at a new art fair, Art & Soul, where villagers and visitors can find unique handcrafted gifts made by local and out-of-town artists.

Artists will display their artwork artwork this Saturday, Aug. 11, at the 29th annual Art on the Lawn. The free event, sponsored by Village Artisans, will feature almost 100 artists of all varieties, and will take place on the lawn of Mills Lawn School from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
