  • Squad cheering ‘for all girls’

    A longstanding athletic tradition has been toppled this year at Yellow Springs High School, and with it a previously accepted social norm has been challenged and sent packing. The new normal: the cheerleading squad is now cheering for girls home basketball games, as well as all boys games.

    YS Schools and the Levy Committee will hold an informational meeting about the district’s combined renovation/rebuild plan for the middle/high school facilities on Thursday, March 1, 6:30 p.m., in the YSHS cafeteria.

  • Bulldog Theater Festival to present two student plays this fall

    McKinney and YSHS will present two plays in October and November.

    The McKinney and YSHS theater departments will expand their offerings this fall with the first Bulldog Theater Festival, which will bring two theatrical performances to local audiences.

  • Local girls invited to “A Girls Night Out”

    YSHS and McKinney girls are invited to “A Girls Night Out” on Saturday, Feb. 4, 7-11 p.m. at YSHS.

  • School Forest Festival returns

    The 64th annual YSHS School Forest Festival will be held this Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
