YS Pride Festival, 2022

Hundreds of people from the village and around the region celebrated a weekend of inclusivity at the YS Pride Festival, June 24–26, with a dance party Friday, events and the annual parade through town Saturday, and a community picnic Sunday. The event came on the heels of the overturning of Roe v. Wade; many participants layered messages of support for reproductive choice on top of the prevailing messages of tolerance and inclusion.
