Festive fellers
- Published: December 15, 2023
Villagers showed up bright and early Saturday, Dec. 2, to trek into School Forest and fell their own Christmas trees.
This year’s stock was limited to a few dozen trees — all of which were sold within the annual School Forest Festival’s first hour. Even after all of this year’s trees were taken home to be dressed up for the season, festival-goers continued to arrive throughout the day.
They enjoyed hayrides, hot chocolate and hurdy-gurdy tunes, with the latter performed by School Forest Club member Zach Underwood.

Stay healthy! Lots of viruses going around apparently. I seldom even have a cold but had this one (not COVID or flu) lasted for 2 weeks! Thankfully, clearing up. I think I’ll wear a mask in stores though for the time being.
Happy Holidays!
