YS filmmakers travel to New York

Two Yellow Springs filmmakers, Aileen LeBlanc and Jim Klein, will be filming part of a documentary in New York City on Monday, Nov. 8.
The documentary, Take Us Home, follows the choir from Yemin Orde, a youth village in Israel that works with at-risk youth from many countries. The documentary features the journey of a teenager named Worku, who emigrated from Gondar, Ethiopia to Israel in 2008. The youth choir of 11 is on a brief tour of the U.S. and will be performing at Temple Israel at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8.
Aileen LeBlanc produces and directs the documentary, and Jim Klein is senior editor. The two will be traveling with Mike King, director of photography, John Mays, sound engineer and Beth Duke, associate producer, all of Dayton.
