Sights and Sounds collide at Arts Council
- Published: August 1, 2011
Last Saturday night, the Yellow Springs Arts Council presented a multisensory art experience, aptly named Synesthesia. The event included presentations by artists Ryan Henry and Rod Hatfield and a musical/video projection performance by The Show and The Now Device. There was a large audience in attendance to appreciate the sights and sounds, and to support the Arts Council.
The Yellow Springs Arts Council is devoted to maintaining a flourishing creative community through their events and fundraising. The council was reorganized in 2009 and has been very active recently in the village. There is a multitude of information on the council’s website at http://www.ysartscouncil.org/about/
The band featured at Synesthesia was The Show, a talented trio composed of Matt Housh on drums, Ryan Henry on guitar and Jessica Kinzer on keyboards and vocals. You may have noticed the drummer Matt wandering around the halls of Mills Lawn. He’s the principal there after all. The group brings the best of psychedelic-esque rock to the table. Together with the visual production team The Now Device, they rocked the village.
