A public reading of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring

A public reading of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring will be held tomorrow, Saturday, June 22, 8 a.m.–noon at the farmers market. Published in 1962, Silent Spring documents the detrimental effects of pesticides on the environment. The public reading is organized by Antioch College students, and volunteers are invited to come out and read in 20-minute shifts.
