Members of the Public Works Crew recently delivered 10 Christmas trees to Glen Helen’s Raptor Center.
Intern Brooke Daeshner, at right, explained that the trees would be used for enrichment purposes, including as bedding for the vultures to lay eggs in; toys for Archie, the great horned owl; and space for the screech owls to burrow and nest that is similar to what they would encounter in the wild.
Also included were, from left, intern Treyton Johnson, and crew member Mike Neal; not pictured is Tanner Bussey.
