Historian Robin Heise is shown at right talking about the historic Octagon House at a walking tour last year. This year Heise will lead tours on historic homes and businesses, downtown, social justice and the Glen Forest Cemetery.

Explore downtown history

Local historian Robin Heise will lead a historical walking tour of downtown Yellow Springs on Sunday, June 16, at 11 a.m. The walking tour will begin at the Chamber of Commerce train depot, and will focus on the history of the downtown area, along with some of the historical businesses of the village. The suggested donation is $5 per person.

This is the third walking tour Heise has organized this year; she has run informational tours on the village’s social justice history and historic homes.
