Eleven block party gatherings were held in the streets of Yellow Springs over the Aug. 18 weekend. The events, sponsored by the Human Relations Commission, foster community spirit and a knowledge of one’s neighbors. While the official events are over, neighbors still have many weeks of good weather left to gather their own street party. Organizers are asked to contact police about closing a road for an event.
