Articles About gay pride weekend
This weekend villagers are invited to celebrate diversity in Yellow Springs at a variety of events sponsored by the 4th Annual Pride Week.
The largest gay pride event in the world takes place in São Paulo, Brazil, where annually more than 3 million people attend, while the smallest is in an Irish coastal village of 250 people. Yellow Springs Pride Weekend, in its second year, will likely fall somewhere in between.
The second annual Yellow Springs Pride Weekend, June 14–16, features a sidewalk parade downtown, educational talks and booths at the Bryan Center, late night parties with live music, DJs and drag troupes and a family-friendly potluck picnic at a park.
About 70 villagers came out yesterday to celebrate the opening of Yellow Springs’ first gay pride weekend.
