  • Friends Music Camp, Godzilla come to town

    One of the threads that runs through Friends Music Camp, now in its 37th year — and its second located on the campus of Earlham College — is Godzilla, instructor, counselor and ex-camper Rory Papania said.

    Last year’s winter benefit concert for Friends Music Camp drew such a large audience, the Senior Center’s Great Room was bursting at the seams with people sitting on the floor in the front and standing several deep against the back and side walls.

    The cast and crew of GODZILLA!, an original musical parody written by Yellow Springs native Corrie Van Ausdal, rehearsed last weekend at the Glen Helen Auditorium.     That’s the gist the plot of an upcoming local production, only this time, GODZILLA! is a clever comedy with pop music.
