Jason Lee Bingenheimer died Friday, May 14. Jason was born in Oklahoma City, but lived most of his childhood through high school in Yellow Springs. At the time of his death, Jason was living near Galveston, Texas, where he worked for Coates Field Service.

Paul Gregory Hull Sr. of Yellow Springs died March 20. Paul was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He thrived on his own business of architecture called “The Fine Line.”

Heitor de Andrade Neto, co-founder of the Brazilian Ecosystems: The Protection and Management of Biodiversity program of Antioch University, died Monday, May 10, in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. He was a life-long friend to anyone he met.

Pauline Breiter
Former village resident Pauline Portugalo Breiter died Sunday, April 25, in Bloomington, Ind. She was 96. Born March 8, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the third of four daughters to Meier and Dora Portugalo. Her parents emigrated from the Ukraine during the first decade of the last century, and they sold fruit and vegetables from pushcarts and stores in New York City.

Julia Poole Hutchison, a former Yellow Springs resident, died Monday, April 12 at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia. She was 88. Julia was born June 9, 1921, to Elbert and Jenny Poole.

Longtime resident Ann (Amon) Grote of Yellow Springs died at her home on Thursday, April 15. She was 79. Ann was born on June 29, 1930, in Perrysburg, Ohio to Agnes and John Amon.

A memorial celebration of the life of Ellie Ridinger will be held in the dining room of Friends Care Center on Wednesday, April 28. Friends may gather any time after 2 p.m. to view slides and mementoes of Ellie’s life.

Antone “Tony” Lavon DaCosta died on Thursday, April 1. He was 58. Antone was born December 11, 1952, to Cecil G. DaCosta and Velma B. DaCosta (née Anderson) at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, Bermuda.
