  Yellow Springs Planning Commission approved a conditional use applications this week for a tasting room for Vitruvian Brewery Company located at MillWorks business park on Walnut Street. Though the business is not yet open, Vitruvian Brewing Company owners Shane and Jacqui Creepingbear have received their brewer’s license and plan to make an announcement soon about their opening, Shane Creepingbear said this week.

• Blood Drive and Wellness Fair next week

  The 2nd annual Yellow Springs Blood Drive and Mini Wellness Fair will be held Wednesday, June 18, 3–6 p.m. at the John Bryan Community Center. The event will feature a blood drive by Community Blood Center of Dayton and vendor services including personal training demonstrations, Filipino traditional healings, massage, dermascans, nutrition demonstrations and health screenings.

• Local hen houses focus of TLT benefit

  Tour de Coops, a bicycyle and walking tour of local backyard poultry efforts, is planned Sunday, June 8, as a benefit for Tecumseh Land Trust.
  A dozen Yellow Springs-area homes and enterprises will open their hen houses to visitors for the afternoon. Site maps and parking will be available at Antioch University Midwest.
