State orders re-opening of bike path
- Published: November 29, 2010
The section of the Little Miami Scenic Trail, known colloquially as the bike path, which was reported to be closing in the Nov. 18 issue of the YS News, is soon to re-open by order of the state of Ohio.
The 5.6 mile segment of the trail, which begins locally north of Jackson Road and extends into Springfield, was closed due to a failed levy that would have helped maintain this portion of the bike path, as well as other Clark County parks. However, state officials say that some of the parks in question received federal funding, so the county cannot shut them down. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has given a Dec. 10 deadline to re-open the bike path segment.

Joe, we had a glitch but it is fixed now. Thanks for your comment and patience.
I only see an article title here. Where are the contents of the article? I look forward to reading this! I believe strongly in a functional bike trail, and am happy to hear that it will open again.
