Alice D. Gay

Alice D. Gay, of Clarksville, Md., formerly of Yellow Springs, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Lorien Columbia Nursing Community. She was 99.
Alice was born on Nov. 13, 1915 in Detroit, Mich. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Gay, of Yellow Springs; her son David Gay and daughter-in-law Maritha Waller Gay; grandchildren Alicea Gay and David Gay Jr., of Clarksville, Md.; and a host of nieces and nephews located across the U.S.
Alice also had a number of grandchildren from families that adopted her: Paul Loving and Michelle (Loving) Landers, of Virginia Beach, Va.; Anthony, Addison and Andee Pettiford of Yellow Springs; and Zachary, Zane, Zebedee and Zekiel Reichert, of Yellow Springs.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial following at Glen Forest Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Jackson Lytle and Lewis Funeral Home, Yellow Springs.
