Basketball begins
The Bulldog basketball program will host “Meet the Teams Night” this Saturday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. in the Yellow Springs High School gym. This community pep rally is an inauguration of local basketball teams from the Crickets program through the high school varsity team. Each grade/team will introduce its players and run a 10- to 15-minute practice session. YSHS cheerleaders will start the evening promptly at 6 p.m., and community and family members are welcome to attend.
Alumni open basketball tourney
The annual Yellow Springs High School alumni basketball tournament will take place Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 26 and 27, at the high school. Organizers ask that participants register by e-mailing bulldog.basketball@yahoo.com. Registrants should include their full name and year of graduation. Class teams and games are based on registration, and all alumni are encouraged to play.
The third annual Alumni Ball will take place following the tournament on Saturday evening, Dec. 26. Details of both events will appear in future issues of the News.
