Last month Yellow Springs Home, Inc. welcomed Brittany Parsons to serve as development coordinator, a new position for the local affordable housing organization. Parsons was hired from a pool of more than 70 applicants and relocated to the village from her post at the Wyoming Housing Network (WHN). During her years with WHN, she worked in a number of areas including affordable housing development, ongoing affordable housing asset management, and affordable housing property management. She assisted with bringing several Low Income Housing Tax Credit affordable rental projects to fruition and has worked on more than 150 units. She also holds an Asset Management Specialist certification through NeighborWorks America and studied Urban Planning and Geography at Ohio University in Athens.
Originally from Strongsville, a suburb of Cleveland, Parsons is excited to return to her home state of Ohio, she said in a recent press release, and looks forward to working closely with Home, Inc.’s Executive Director Emily Seibel on developing affordable housing projects in Yellow Springs.
