Whopper of a weekend

The weekend of Sept. 9–11 was packed to the village’s proverbial rafters with happenings. above: Dark skies and threats of thunderstorms didn’t keep villagers from celebrating the life of longtime AACW activist Faith Patterson last Saturday afternoon, at the opening event of the AACW Blues Fest. Below: Antioch President Tom Manley delivered a “State of the College” address last weekend in the South Gym to several hundred Antiochians as part of Alumni Reunion last weekend.

Other village events included a performance of the World House Choir, the Cyclops Fest, a YSKP reunion, the 9/11 Stair Climb benefit and various end-of-summer neighborhood block parties. Look for photos of many these events elsewhere in this paper and online at ysnews.com.
