Susan, Dave, and Whitney–We are so saddened to hear of Michael’s death. Our hearts break at his untimely passing. We only hope that memories of good times spent together help see all of you through this difficult journey. Know that you are in our thoughts and my prayers!–Nelson and Mary Lou
Count me fortunate to have known Michael over a 10+ year period, enough time to have seen him grow into himself. I first met Michael as part of the Finster clan that belonged to the Alpha Cats, a group that gathered at Tim and Ruth Lewis’s house every Saturday for a morning run/walk, coffee, and muffins. He shared dinner from time-to-time with Stuffed Possum and Cornbread, a fiddle band that the Finsters played in. And later on, he put his masonry skills to work on a leaky chimney at our house. He grew and changed over those years, but he always had a sly smile, an inclination to laugh and to be clever, and a warm spirit that he shared freely. A guy like that can’t be thought of and not missed. He is missed. Missed very much.
