Antioch Midwest lauded for transfer pathways
- Published: February 21, 2018
Antioch University Midwest has been named to the 2018 Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll, which identifies the top four-year colleges and universities creating dynamic pathways to support transfer students. Over the past 18 months, Antioch University Midwest has instituted a number of articulation agreements with local partners — including Clark State, Southern State and Sinclair community colleges — that provide 3+1 and 2+2 pathways for their students
“Antioch [Midwest] has shown themselves to not only be transfer-friendly to our community college graduates but has gone beyond to define clear pathways of articulation for our many programs,” said Dr. Peggy Chalker, dean of articulation and transfer at Southern State Community College.
Open to all regionally accredited baccalaureate degree-granting institutions, applications were evaluated in the areas of scholarship and financial aid, admissions outreach, student support services and student engagement opportunities.
“In order to ensure [the students’] continued success, the Transfer honor Roll Program identifies colleges and universities that understand the unique needs of transfer students and applauds the dynamic pathways these colleges have created to continue fostering student success among transfer students at the four-year college,” said Phi Theta Kappa president and CEO, Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner.
