Last Friday’s pre-disciplinary hearing for Yellow Springs Police Corporal Dave Meister was postponed in hopes that lawyers representing Meister and the Village could reach a compromise agreement.

A thrill to see T-ballers fly
The evening began with a gift. Russell Besson, 13, a T-ball graduate, came up to me with a large, blue-cloth-covered-something-or-other. He told me they’d heard that our current bat-and-ball and hand-sweeper bag was old, falling apart.

Ernest “Ernie” Russell Heston passed away on June 30, 2018, at 7:40 a.m. at his home in Yellow Springs, at the age of 91.
