Ruddnette Jefferson, one of the last surviving African American women of her generation born and raised in Yellow Springs, passed away on Feb. 14, 2022.

The Yellow Springs High School boys varsity basketball team finished regular season play last week at the top of the Metro Buckeye Conference in a tie with Dayton Christian. Both teams ended the season 10–2 in conference play, according to Yellow Springs Athletic Director Jeff Eyrich.
