On Friday, Aug. 15, the Little Art Theatre will unveil its new marquee with a free community event from 8–10 p.m. at the theater and in the community space on Short Street.

Despite all the existential threats to public media and WYSO losing its federal funding, station General Manager Luke Dennis told the News in an interview last week that the Yellow Springs station’s radio waves will continue sounding out.

Peace Mask Project co-founder Myong Hee Kim of Kyoto Japan — who’s in town with her son-in-law, Pierre Nagley — aims to make 50 masks of village residents Aug.13–17. An exhibition of the masks will be open Aug. 18–23.

Yellow Springs Porchfest is partnering with the nationwide SunDay event to power the music on village porches with clean solar energy for this year’s Porchfest on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Last week, Elyria-based Wagner Electric Sign Co. installed an art deco-inspired marquee onLittle Art Theatre’s facade — its colorful flourishes nod to the visual motifs inside.

The 2025 T-ball season opened unlike any other in recent memory; that is, without an actual game of T-ball. And this most unusual season came full circle by ending without a game either.
