A community conversation regarding the property formerly known as the “CBE” will be held Thursday, March 2.

On Saturday, March 4, Antioch College professor Charles Fairbanks will present “Black Girl (La Noire de…),” the 1966 French-language film by director Ousmane Sembéne, at 1 p.m. at the Little Art Theatre.

The preponderance of ruins and tangled underbrush creates a sense of the forlorn in the way that only crumbled human structures can. There are remains of an amphitheater, some walkways and bits of a dam, all of which speak for something that once was but now is not.
