  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    Yellow Springs High School finished fifth at the annual Versailles Track & Field Boys Invitational on Saturday, April 4. The Bulldogs scored 66 points. Minster won with 185.

  • Seadogs seek coaches, assistants for new season

    The Yellow Springs Seadogs are gearing up for another swimming season. Coaches and assistants are currently being sought for paid and volunteer positions. A Webmaster is also needed to set up a Seadog Web site.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    The Yellow Springs High School softball team lost the opening game against Cedarville 17–3 on Monday, March 30. Katie Triplett drove two hits early on in the game, both of which were scored by Rachel Trumbull.

  • Youth recreational spring soccer leagues to begin

    The spring season of Yellow Springs Youth Recreational Soccer will resume the week ending Saturday, April 11. Leagues will be organized as follows: Copper Cup (ages preschool–kindergarten), Bronze Cup (first–third grades) and Silver Cup (fourth and fifth grades), which will all play Saturday mornings at Gaunt Park.

    The Yellow Springs Aquatic Club, the Seadogs, will meet on Wednesday, March 25, at 7 p.m., at the Yellow Springs Community Library meeting room to discuss the upcoming season. On the agenda will be nominating and voting for board members, and filling subcommittees to run the various functions of the season.

    Senior Bulldog Jacob GunderKline race walked to third and fourth place in the nation at the Nike Indoor Nationals and the National Scholastic Indoor Track and Field championships in Boston and New York last weekend.

  • YS Bulldogs derailed by Trojans

    The Bulldogs went into the second round of Division IV sectional tournament play as the underdog against the Southeastern Trojans on Friday, March 6, and put up a fight worthy of their toothy mascot. But the Trojans’ insurmountable height won them a 61–58 victory ticket to the sectional championship game against Fort Loramie this week at the University of Dayton.

  • Bulldog Sports Round-up

    On Tuesday, March 3, the YSHS boys basketball team upset Bethel, the number-three seed in the Division IV sectional tournament, in a 55–50 victory. The Bulldogs play next on Friday, March 6, against Southeastern, the number-two seed, at Vandalia Butler High School, 8 p.m.
