Girls win first at Bulldog Invitational

Both the YSHS girls and boys track and field teams stormed the Bulldogs’ 10th annual Invitational meet on Friday, May 7, with the girls taking first place out of the 12 teams that competed, and the boys coming in second.
For the girls, freshman Lois Miller set another school record in the mile with a time of 5:47.30, according to Coach Vince Peters, which was good enough for second place. Reini Brickson dominated her race walk event in 3:48.60.
For the boys, junior Mario Cosey took the 100-meter dash in 11:10 seconds, while Logan Norris-Sayres came in a close second.
