A petrifying parade of grade-school ghouls
- Published: October 31, 2010
Last Friday, Oct. 29, Mills Lawn School students once again set out to spook downtown via the annual Halloween Parade. Ghosts, goblins and mischievous monsters of every type flooded the sidewalk and thrilled onlookers. Highlights were a walking iPod, a hot air balloonist, an six-armed spider, a pair of werewolves, a bulbous golden tea pot, and, at one point, three Darth Vaders in a group (which didn’t bode well for the Rebel Alliance).
At the end of the route, students filed into the gym — briefly making it a giant, chaotic catch-basin for the weird and macabre —
before filing back to their rooms. Parents and siblings were invited to partake of treats and cider before the big evening.
