Welcome back to school!

By now it’s more than evident that school is back in session. The first of 250 or so lunches goes out with the new notebooks, gallon Ziploc bags and a pair of new shoes into a morning sun that seems just a little later in rising.
Helping out in this brand new school year adventure is the usual cast of characters: the crossing guards, the officers, school secretaries, bus drivers, groundskeepers and, of course, the school page at ysnews.com.
In the past year, the News has posted district-wide school events, sports schedules, news items, photo galleries, videos and other school-related news items on the school page. This year, we will list lunch menus, weather-related school closures or delays, and other items of interest.
