Mills Lawn student raises money to plant trees
- Published: April 21, 2014
Seven-year-old Mills Lawn student Dane Beal is currently raising money to buy new trees for the Mills Lawn Elementary School grounds. The new trees will replace the ash trees that were cut down after they were damaged by the emerald ash borer. For the full story on Dane’s project, watch the video below. To donate to the cause, send donations to the YS Tree Committee at P.O. Box 122, indicating that the funds benefit Mills Lawn.

Correction: the video’s text mistakenly refers to Dane as a third-grader; he’s actually in first grade. Apologies to Dane!
