Home, Inc. to break ground on C-Street Phase Two

Yellow Springs Home, Inc. invites the public to join them in celebrating the groundbreaking of the second phase of the Cemetery Street project this Thursday. This phase will complete the historic partnership between Yellow Springs Home, Inc. and the Village of Yellow Springs to develop four permanently affordable community land trust homes on Cemetery Street. All are welcome to come to the 100 block of Cemetery Street at noon on May 19 to enjoy light lunch refreshments, learn more about the project, engage with project stakeholders and celebrate the groundbreaking with homebuyer families, the Village and community members.

Yellow Springs Home, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen community and diversity in Yellow Springs and Miami Township by providing permanently affordable and sustainable housing through its community land trust. Home, Inc. has built or rehabbed 20 units in Yellow Springs for low and moderate income households and provided for more than $3,000,000 in economic development. Newly-built homes will include as many energy-efficient and green design features as is feasible, based on Passive House design features, to reduce utility costs.
