Election Day is today, Nov. 7.

Local voters are headed to the polls to chose candidates for four local offices: Yellow Springs Village Council (three open seats); Yellow Springs Board of Education (three open seats); Yellow Springs Mayor; and Miami Township Board of Trustees (two open seats). Also on the ballot are two state issues: Issue 1, a constitutional amendment that would provide crime victims with specific new rights, and Issue 2, which would limit the amount the state and state agencies pay for prescription drugs.

All village voters — those who live in precincts 440, 441, 442 and 443 — and Miami Township residents who live in precinct 456 vote at Antioch University Midwest, 900 Dayton St., Yellow Springs.

Local polls are open Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

See the News’ Voter’s Guide 2017 for more details, as well as responses by candidates to specific questions about local issues and priorities.
