Full house: Yellow Springs Celebrates International Women’s Day

“Yellow Springs Celebrates International Women’s Day” was held Friday, March 8, at a Yellow Springs residence. The evening featured art and art-making, food and conversation and a panel discussion. The panel featured, from left, Sierra Leone, a Dayton writer and poet who received the 2018 Ohio Governor’s Award for Community Development and Participation; Neenah Ellis, station manager at WYSO, and Sirisha Naidu, associate professor of economics at Wright State University. The panel was moderated by Angie Hsu, at right. The event was well attended by people of all ages, who filled seats and lined walls. It was organized by Alice Young-Basora, Jalana Lazar, Kayla Rothman-Zecher and Hsu.
