A community conversation on proposed Village Charter amendments will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Antioch Midwest.

Community invited to talk Village Charter amendments

The James A. McKee Association will sponsor a sommunity conversation on proposed Village Charter amendments on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The conversation will be moderated by Village Council President Brian Housh.

The community is invited to join the conversation and learn more about the proposed Charter amendments. The proposed amendments would extend the term of Village Mayor from two to four years, to begin after the 2021 mayoral election; lower the voting age to include 16 and 17 year olds on local ballot initiatives; and provide voting rights on local issues to noncitizen residents who legally reside in the community.

The conversation will be held 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., in Room B-105 at Antioch University Midwest. All are welcome.
