Yellow Springs residents helped stop an apparent attack on a woman yesterday, Oct. 25, in the 300 block of South High Street. Two women were reportedly attacked, with non-life-threatening injuries.

Raven Murie of Yellow Springs, died peacefully at Hospice of Dayton, following a 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Irene Beatrice Kraus, formerly of Yellow Springs and Fairborn, Ohio, passed away in Kirkland, Wash., on Oct. 20, 2017.

Health advocate Leslie Edmunds is realizing her dream — a dream that comes from a lot of labor. As owner of Clem & Thyme Nutrition/Wellness at 4359 E. Enon Road in Yellow Springs, she now has her own local wellness center with a focus on nutrition and tons of potential.

Twenty-two local studios will be open for visits from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21 and 22, with 30 participating artists on hand to show and talk about their work. Many of the artists will offer demonstrations of their techniques, giving insight into their medium and creative process.

Louise Simons died Oct. 9, 2017. She was 78.

On Sept. 15, 2017, at 12:02 a.m., Donald Edward Benning passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was 83 years old.
