Thomas T. Blake passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, at 8 p.m. at his residence in Sidney, Ohio. He was 71.

Marilyn (Kelley) Dowdell, of Yellow Springs, passed away peacefully at Miami Valley Hospital on Dec. 31. She was 75.

The Yellow Springs Board of Education has placed village schools on a two-hour delay for Wednesday, Jan. 29 due to the continuing extreme cold.

The YS Senior Center has announced that it is now accepting submissions for the second issue of Ripples, an elder literary journal.
