The area National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI, hosts a local Connection Recovery Support Group, for those living with a mental health condition, the second Monday of each month, 6:30–8 p.m. The next meeting is Jan. 12.

Marcia (Nelson) Greer was born in Xenia, Ohio, on Nov. 3, 1938.

Edmond Henry Vernot, 100, of Yellow Springs, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Jan. 4, 2026.

Sonia Barreiro Cawood, 86, died peacefully Dec. 30, 2025. A longtime Yellow Springs, Ohio, resident, she was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and came to the United States to attend school in Midway, Kentucky, at the age of 13.

The varsity boys bowling team returned to the lanes Monday, Jan. 5, with a decisive 2,203–843 win over Jefferson High across two regular games and a Baker game.

The Bulldogs girls varsity team suffered a defeat away on Thursday, Dec. 18, falling 44–24 to Miami Valley School. Individual stats for the game were not reported.

The boys bowling team added another win to their season on Wednesday, Dec. 10, defeating Trotwood 2,108–1,407 across two regular games and a Baker game.
