Jack Lee Nickell, beloved father of Desiree Nickell (Yellow Springs), Jacqueline Nickell (Los Angeles, California), and David Nickell (St. Petersburg, Florida), passed away June 18, 2023, from complications following heart surgery. He was 89.

On Tuesday, July 4, local resident Isaac Powers was struck by a vehicle while biking near Ellis Park. Powers, 15, was fatally injured in the crash.

The World House Choir invites new singers to join the choir as it prepares for its 10th anniversary concert program, “Standing on the Side of Love and Justice,” to be performed Sept. 21–23.

David B. Hill Jr., faithful servant of God, transitioned on Sunday, June 18, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He was 87.
