After two years of virtual gatherings, the Winter Solstice Poetry Reading is set to recommence in person at the Glen Helen Vernet Ecological Center on Friday, Dec. 9, from 7-9 p.m.
Successful farm-to-school programs. Stories from local farmers coping with climate change. Strategies for turning conventional farms organic. Those topics and more will be explored at “Growing Green 2020: Investing in Conservation and Local Food,” a joint conference of the Tecumseh Land Trust and Community Solutions.
Whitehall Farm was permanently preserved. A local land trust was put on the map. And a community victory still inspires.
Tecumseh Land Trust will host a “Shop Local/Eat Local” workshop on Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m.–noon, at the TLT office, located at 4633 U.S. 68 in Yellow Springs.
Food Power, a conference organized by Tecumseh Land Trust, will feature Will Allen, noted urban farmer and Michelle Obama’s White House garden coach.
