New pastor at Central Chapel A.M.E.

The Reverend Dwight Smith was recently appointed the new pastor of the Central Chapel A.M.E. Church, one of the village’s oldest churches.
Rev. Smith comes to Yellow Springs from Springfield, where he was pastor at Trinity A.M.E. Church for 14 years. He is a graduate of the Paine Theological Seminary. Before working in Springfield, Smith came to the Dayton area to work as a television newscaster.
Sunday services at the church at 411 S. High begin at 11 a.m. every Sunday.
