“All throughout downtown Yellow Springs, in a surprising number of shop windows, are those cerulean posters promoting Shen Yun Performing Arts Company’s upcoming performances in the area.”

On Monday, Dec. 4, Village Council continued the ongoing discussion of pursuing a plan that could culminate in the construction of a low-income housing development on the 35-acre land known as the CBE.

Yellow Springs residents may soon be automatically enrolled in the Village’s Utility Round-Up program — wherein municipal utility customers round up their monthly bill to the nearest dollar, with the additional amount going to help those struggling to pay their bills.

On Thursday, Nov. 16, a small team of local residents and members of the Village Environmental Commission went to the northern reaches of the 17-acre Ellis Park to install a 4,500-square-foot prairie.
