As a result of surging home values in Greene County, Yellow Springs residential property owners will see their property taxes go up in 2024, according to newly released data from the Greene County Auditor’s office.

Wheeling Gaunt Day 2023 will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 7, beginning at 10 a.m., at the Wheeling Gaunt sculpture plaza, adjacent to the train station at the intersections of Dayton Street and Xenia Avenue.

Basim Blunt — the host of WYSO’s weekly funk program “Behind the Groove” and a longtime radio producer at the station — was recently named the new executive director of the Eichelberger Center for Community Voices at WYSO.

With near perfect running weather, the Yellow Springs High School and McKinney Middle School cross-country teams performed admirably at the annual Fairborn Skyhawk Invitational on Wednesday, Aug. 30.

Carolyn Louise Bradford peacefully passed away at 81 years young after battling lung cancer that was diagnosed earlier this year.

Jasiah H. Zinger-Mitchell, 21, of Yellow Springs, passed away Sept. 19, 2023, in Yellow Springs.
