  • Needlework retreat comes to Yellow Springs

    “From Our Hands and Hearts,” an annual creative retreat for needlework artists, is coming to Yellow Springs April 24–27. Organizers are Lori Ann Corelis, a folk artist who sews rabbits, teddy bears and other collectibles, and Rebekah Smith, a wool appliqué artist.     Next Monday, April 24, needlework artists from across Ohio and states such as California, New York and Rhode Island will take up residence in the Mills Park Hotel for four days, and they’ll stitch, and stitch some more.

  • ‘Piecework for Peace’ to gather

    All handiwork crafters are invited to gather from 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays, beginning March 16, at the Emporium.

  • Art gleams anew at Holiday Jumble

    The Holiday Art Jumble returns to Yellow Springs for its fifth year. A fundraiser for the Yellow Springs Arts Council, the “grand reshuffling” of art and artifacts is being held in the council’s Corry Street gallery during regular gallery hours, 1–4 p.m. Wednesdays–Sundays, now through Dec. 31.
