Mayer to leave WYSO
Longtime WYSO Public Radio Director of Business Operations and Development Jacki Mayer has accepted another job and will soon be leaving the station. WYSO has begun advertising for two new positions: director of development and director of finance and accounting.

Public radio station WYSO 91.30 went off the air after being struck by lightning on Monday. It returned to the air on Wednesday evening.

Earlier this month, it was announced that WYSO Public Radio news reporters had won seven awards from the Ohio Associated Press for reporting in 2010.

Documentary, new series at WYSO this week
A new radio documentary on President Obama’s Irish forebears, some of whom moved to the Miami Valley, will be aired on WYSO on Sunday, May 29 at 6 p.m. A new series on changes at Wright Patterson Air Force Base will be aired the week of May 30 on Morning Edition.
