  • YS school district treasurer put on leave; board votes not to renew contract

    Yellow Springs schools Treasurer Dawn Bennett was placed on paid administrative leave, and her contract, which expires July 31, was not renewed in votes taken by the Yellow Springs school board after an executive session at the end of the regular board meeting Thursday, May 9.

  • McCoy hired as assistant principal

    The Yellow Springs school board on Thursday, May 9, unanimously approved the hiring of Cameron McCoy as assistant principal and project-based learning foundations teacher at Yellow Springs High School/McKinney Middle School. McCoy has served in the position on an interim capacity since March 2018.

    Yellow Springs Schools has announced the names of three finalists in the district’s search for a new superintendent.

    In a special meeting Thursday morning, March 21, the Yellow Springs school board unanimously approved Jack Hatert as the new principal at Yellow Springs High School/McKinney Middle School, beginning the 2019–20 school year.
