    The name says it all. The title of this year’s high school musical is exactly that — “High School Musical,” or more specifically, and legally, “Disney’s High School Musical, On Stage!”

  • New jazz show comes to WYSO line-up

    "Equinox," a jazz show hosted by Duante Beddingfield, will make its home on WYSO on Monday evenings.

    Each Monday night, host Duante Beddingfield will lead listeners on a journey through straight-ahead jazz, from classic tracks to the latest releases, including local musicians, obscure performers, and artists from all over the world putting their own unique stamp on the music.

    On Sunday, March 25, Chamber Music in Yellow Springs will bring to the area one of the world’s leading guitar ensembles, the Brazilian Guitar Quartet. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Miami Valley’s own Jim McCutcheon will give a preconcert lecture at 6:45 p.m.

    A comedian who recently made his network TV debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after performing as the opening act on Dave Chappelle’s 2015 national tour, has been snagged to perform in Yellow Springs for the Antioch School’s annual Auction Gala event.

    This weekend villagers are invited to celebrate two events beloved to the local arts community — the Yellow Springs Banner Festival, and the return of the Yellow Springs Arts Council, or YSAC, permanent collection to the John Bryan Community Center.
