Citizens Against Mining is holding an ice cream social and sign-making party at Young’s Dairy this Sunday, April 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. The group opposes the expansion of mining operations in Mad River Township, just north of Yellow Springs.

Villager Earl "Petey" Hull died July 1, 2024; he was 83. Visitaiton will be held Friday, July 19, 10 a.m., with services at 11 a.m., at Central Chapel, AME, 411 S. High St. Interment will be in the Hull Family plot at Tar Box Cemetery in Wilberforce. A full obituary will appear in an upcoming issue of the News.
