After two years of virtual gatherings, the Winter Solstice Poetry Reading is set to recommence in person at the Glen Helen Vernet Ecological Center on Friday, Dec. 9, from 7-9 p.m.
Area residents are invited to enter the “thin time” at Tecumseh Land Trust’s eighth annual Winter Solstice Poetry Reading, held Friday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m., at Glen Helen’s Vernet Ecological Center.
About a dozen Tower Poets will gather at the Emporium on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m., to read from their new anthology, “From the Tower: Poems in Honor of Conrad Balliet.”
There are many types of poems you might hear if you stumble into the Yellow Springs Community Poetry Jam on Friday night, where four local street poets are moving their acts inside for a “free-flowing evening” of poetry, music, improvisation and more.
This Friday, Dec. 14, the Yellow Springs community is invited to celebrate the Glen at “In the Spirit of the Glen: A night of nature-inspired poetry.” Eighteen poets will share their original nature-inspired work, and an open mic will also be available.
The third event in the new Yellow Springs Reading Series was held Saturday, July 9 at the YSAC Gallery.
