• A beloved return
After being put on pause at the start of the pandemic, the local Beloved Community Project resumed its monthly free community meals at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 21.

• Corrected early voting ballots available
Mail-in early voting ballots returned to Yellow Springs residents who requested them early this month contained an error, which stated that voters select only two candidates for Village Council; there are three open seats to be filled. Corrected mail-in early voting ballots are set to be received by Yellow Springs voters this week if they have not already been received, and are available to be picked up this week at the Greene County board of Elections office.

Teacher, photographer, storyteller, loving husband and father, and longtime resident of Moss Beach and San Francisco, Alec Duncan passed away peacefully early in the morning of Oct. 3, 2023, with his son Will at his bedside, after a sudden illness.
