New jazz show comes to WYSO line-up
Each Monday night, host Duante Beddingfield will lead listeners on a journey through straight-ahead jazz, from classic tracks to the latest releases, including local musicians, obscure performers, and artists from all over the world putting their own unique stamp on the music.

CMYS to present Brazilian Guitar Quartet
On Sunday, March 25, Chamber Music in Yellow Springs will bring to the area one of the world’s leading guitar ensembles, the Brazilian Guitar Quartet. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Miami Valley’s own Jim McCutcheon will give a preconcert lecture at 6:45 p.m.

Fundraiser to feature Muslim comic
A comedian who recently made his network TV debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after performing as the opening act on Dave Chappelle’s 2015 national tour, has been snagged to perform in Yellow Springs for the Antioch School’s annual Auction Gala event.

This weekend villagers are invited to celebrate two events beloved to the local arts community — the Yellow Springs Banner Festival, and the return of the Yellow Springs Arts Council, or YSAC, permanent collection to the John Bryan Community Center.

News wins top prize, for eighth year in a row
The Yellow Springs News won the Newspaper of the Year award, the highest honor in its size division, for the eighth year in a row at the annual convention of the Ohio News Media Association (formerly Ohio Newspaper Association). The event took place Feb. 8 and 9 in Columbus.
